The E-Enterprise Community Inventory Platform (EECIP) is an online community and living project inventory for state, local, Tribal, and other environmental agencies and their employees across the country. EECIP allows users to share and search projects, find answers to environmental and programmatic questions, and connect with peers across agencies.
Environmental professionals needed a secure, convenient place online to share their work and learn from one another
Prior to the launch of EECIP, environmental professionals from different agencies lacked a single, accessible place to connect and learn about their respective projects, best practices, challenges, and more. Without a way to easily connect, agencies missed opportunities to share resources and collaborate on innovations.
EECIP links agencies across a variety of topics and helps users share environmental best practices and tools
EECIP now boasts more than 900 registered users and highlights more than 2,100 projects and enterprise services from more than 290 partner agencies and organizations. Information in the database spans a broad range of topics including IT, process improvement, advanced monitoring, and Exchange Network data flows. Environmental professionals use EECIP for interagency discussions on timely topics and E-Enterprise efforts, including artificial intelligence, low-code software development, expedited permitting, and more.

Environmental professionals are sharing information, solving problems, and learning from each other
Developed by a committee of state and tribal officials, EECIP has become a ‘virtual meeting room’ where environmental officials can connect securely and conveniently. By identifying needs together, the committee created a tool that helps partners:
- Share Information: Post about your agency’s projects, technical environment, and staff professional interests. Tagging your projects and expertise facilitates connections to your peers.
- Solve Problems: Collaborate with colleagues and get answers from experts through the discussion forum.
- Save Time and Money: Discover, reuse, or repurpose the work of others. Search for projects, agencies, discussion topics, and staff relevant to your work.
- Build Community: Find peer contact information and connect to share information about projects.
