November is Native American Heritage Month – a time to celebrate the culture, heritage, and countless contributions of American Indians and Alaska Natives.
The E-Enterprise Leadership Council (EELC) honors and thanks the tribal representatives who participate in E-Enterprise and have helped establish it as a collaborative and trusted forum advancing environmental protection. Since 2016, tribal representatives have been instrumental in contributing to innovative E-Enterprise projects that assist Tribes in building capacity and implementing environmental programs in Indian Country. These projects include an easy-to-follow guide for tribal environmental professionals on how to purchase software licenses and cover longer-term software operations and maintenance costs, and an effort to make EPA review and approval of Quality Assurance Project Plans more efficient and consistent.
As we look to the year ahead, the EELC is committed to supporting tribal partner priorities, including advancing data sovereignty, expanding participatory science, and reinvigorating the Exchange Network.
